Operating the on-board computer

WARNING Risk of distraction from information systems and communications equipment

If you operate information and communications equipment integrated in the vehicle when driving, you will be distracted from the traffic situation. This could also cause you to lose control of the vehicle.

Only operate this equipment when the traffic situation permits.

If you cannot be sure of this, stop the vehicle whilst paying attention to road and traffic conditions and operate the equipment with the vehicle stationary.

You must observe the legal requirements for the country in which you are currently driving when operating the on-board computer.

The on-board computer displays appear in the multifunction display More.

The on-board computer is operated using Touch Control and back button on the left-hand side of the steering wheel.

The following menus are available in the instrument display (standard):

Service
Assistance
Trip
Navigation
Radio
Media
Telephone
HUD

The following menus are available in the instrument display in the widescreen cockpit:

Service
Assistance
Trip
Navigation
Radio
Media
Telephone
Content
HUD

The menus can be called up from the menu bar in the multifunction display.

To call up the menu bar:

press the back button.

To scroll through the menu bar:

swipe to the left or right-hand side of Touch Control.

To call up the menu or confirm the selection:

press the left-hand side of Touch Control.

To scroll through displays or lists in the menu:

swipe upwards or downwards on the left-hand side of Touch Control.

To call up the submenu or confirm the selection:

press the left-hand side of Touch Control.

To exit the submenu:

press the back button.

If you are browsing a submenu and you press and hold the back button, the menu bar appears.
