Reducing the energy consumption of the key
If you do not use the vehicle or a key for an extended period of time, you can reduce the energy consumption of the respective key. Deactivate the KEYLESS-GO function of the key.
To deactivate:

button on the key twice in rapid succession. The battery check lamp of the key flashes twice briefly and lights up once.
To activate:
press any button on the key. Automatic deactivation occurs after a few minutes if the key is not moved. Automatic activation occurs as soon as the key is moved. All of the KEYLESS-GO functions are available again.
When the key is deactivated, the button functions are always available. In power saving mode, the key cannot be accessed without authorisation.
