The smart EQ fortwo is equipped with a manual front passenger airbag shutoff.

Before using a rearward-facing child restraint system on the front passenger seat, disable the front passenger airbag.

Further information on the correct child restraint system can be obtained at a qualified specialist workshop. smart recommends that you use a smart Centre.
